SEO & content marketing specialist
A journalist’s curiosity.
An SEO strategist’s perspective.
I spent eight years as a journalist, followed by another eight years working full-time in SEO and content marketing. Today, I bring the same curiosity and editorial judgement to helping businesses become easier to find, understand and trust.

Journalism, content and search have shaped how I work. The constant is curiosity about what people need to understand.

Eight years in journalism taught me to research unfamiliar subjects, separate reliable information from noise and find the explanation that makes someone keep reading.
The next eight years in full-time SEO and content marketing connected that editorial judgement with acquisition, complex products and real customer decisions, working with brands and in FinTech.
Content optimisation led to keyword research, site architecture, technical SEO and international growth. Today, I work across those decisions with writers, developers and marketing teams.
Selected outcomes from different starting points. Each case explains the work, the measurement period and the context behind the numbers.

How I fit into your team
I can work as a consultant, fractional SEO lead, embedded specialist or partner to another agency. Where the project needs more hands, I work with specialists across content, development, design and digital PR.
Start with the offer, customers, sales questions and support needs before choosing what to optimise.
Turn findings into clear priorities and responsibilities for the people writing, building and publishing.
Fix immediate constraints and build a structure the team can maintain as the website, market and search landscape change.
I have worked remotely for more than five years, working from home, coffee shops, clients’ offices and co-working spaces, sometimes settling into a park or a quiet spot outdoors. My days move between client work, writing, school runs and whichever small project has caught my attention. A change of scenery often brings a fresh perspective.

SEO often takes me into AI, websites, data and product ideas. Some side projects end up much bigger than the idea that started them.
Family, more coffee than I probably need, history books and a good beer when the day is done. Working independently lets me build a career around family life.
Meditation is one of the quieter habits that helps me clear some mental noise and return to a problem with a little more perspective.
A website rebuild, a new market, years of content that could work harder, or an organic-growth problem that is still hard to define. Send me the context.
