Client background
An established law firm wanted a new website dedicated to a niche area of legal services. With its original market in the United Kingdom, the new site targeted Hong Kong and the UK and aimed to reach clients seeking specialist expertise and a premium service.
The firm already had legal experience, but the new website needed its own search presence. The task was to translate a focused service proposition into a researched content plan and support the launch with a complete technical SEO foundation.
Technical access, useful content and distribution each had a role.
I carried out comprehensive keyword and content research for the new website, covering the targeted legal services, location-led searches and brand-name queries. The research shaped a content direction for the firm’s niche offer and intended client segment.
I worked closely with the developer to address technical SEO across the new website. Search requirements were considered as part of the build, alongside the keyword and content research, rather than being left until after launch.
At the review two months after launch, most of the targeted service keywords, location + service keywords and brand-name keywords appeared on the first page. The result showed early search visibility for the new specialist website.
What changed
The new website established an early search presence for the firm’s specialist offer. Most of the targeted keyword groups achieved first-page visibility at the two-month review, giving people researching the service, a relevant location or the brand a way to discover the new site.
